The US government is shelling out $1.5 Billion in serf-taxpaying money in order for the populace to keep on watching tv. On Feb. 17, 2009: all broadcasts will go digital. Meaning you must have the appropriate hardware to receive those "free"
airwaves that once were analog. Taxpaying money funds 33 million coupons @ $40 toward the purchase of the digital hardware needed for conversion.

What none of the socialist GOP-Dem voting idiots understand is that the Constitution grants the federal government NO authority to be in charge of providing the TV-stupefied masses television converter boxes. Having a right to something and having a right to have the government confiscate other peoples' treasure to pay your bills are TWO DIFFERENT things.


Does the FCC control airwaves? NO. It's illegal.

MDN gives the Holy 8 Precepts of how to Post....

Go to any article on the MDN and you will find the new Holy "god" given commandments on how and what to post. Keeping it clean, on topic, nothing vulgar or obscene, not threatening to kill someone are common sense.

But not to give outside links other than MDN? That's called monopoly of information. That's being in a closet. That's in direct violation of MDN holy rule #3, to be truthful. MDN doesn't have a corner on truth, they do have a corner on what they can and do print--that's it. Why the Holy Precepts which are a guise to delete? Elections. Less resistance against McCain and the GOP getting elected; though it's not going to matter on the Iron Range scale. Why again? Ego.

Holy Precept #6, "Give us your eyewitness accounts." Journalists get the story, not sit at home and let some un-paid poster get some of the story for them, that's what journalism is about: facts, research, interviews; not being afraid of own Forum. I would suggest to MDN, if the forum isn't working out for you; posters aren't playing the game you want them--pull the plug or have everyone go into the MDN office with drivers license, give them a password and have them post with real name.

Open Letter to Range Graduates...

Graduates, this isn't going to be another penny-a-dozen speech on how "you will enter" the real world--as your in the real world. Or the fallacy of "you can have any occupation or job you want if you try."

This isn't going to be a speech on how to be "good" stewards of mainstream go-along with it society and be told what (or what not) to consume, purchase, cherish, hate, love, vote, enable, disable by the mainstream religion of the TV, Media, Corporate America, Govt.-Mammon oriented-endorsed Religion, Celebs & Politicians.

This isn't going to be about the alarming statistics of teen sex, pregnancies, criminal activity, drinking, drugs, stds, tv-gaming-computer usage etc.; in which you learned from adults.

Dear Graduates of the Iron Range, for a few of you it will be easy at first, you will go to college, get a job out of college and get all those things that seem to make one happy as you follow the material cues. For the other followers you will make way less and struggle with many things, you will always be in the box as your DNA is structured for such.

The Graduates of whom I address are those who will put principle, honor, duty--what is right, before Material. To spend one's life competing against fellow student(s) on who makes more money, the prestige of title & accomplishment is living a life for and about what others think of you. This is exactly on how the Religion of Mainstream Material Society keeps you in order for them to thrive: for the 2% who hold 90% of this Nation's wealth.

A war for your mind has and is taking place. Millions of dollars has been just spent on you what to think and what not to think and question. This Nation isn't a Democracy, it's a Republic, anyone telling you it's the same thing is ignorant or a liar. Google: Democracy vs. Republic.

For those who will eventually wakeup, many of you aren't ready presently, for many a promise has been told if you do this and that--your fairy tale dreams will come true. I was in the same boat. Gen X was told just get that degree and be #1 and that great happy job will be awaiting for you and you can marry a Molly Ringwald. The Baby boomers sucked up the just vote for the mainstream and your pensions will be with you after you retire and then you can have "fun" like the 60's. The carrot on the stick.

All Luxury expenditures cancel: Cable, Tivo, Gaming, ISP, junk food, pop, cigs, go out to eat once a month, if in city--walk to all stores, work, etc., only have one car on the insurance, kids can take bus to school. Cancel subscription to any newspapers and magazines (includes MDN). If you need to watch tv, go with the airwaves; remember, in Feb. 2009 many more channels should be available since one broadcasting station can send multiple signals--though my suggestion is to trash the electric toilet altogether. Turn down heat, change to wood if price for oil-gas is ridiculous. When no one is home the heat should be at 50-60F.

3. Those with kids: No cell phones for kids, no fancy clothes or techno games and gadgets for kids; money saved for college or rainy day fund. Cancel subscription to any newspapers and magazines. Thrift stores will be the clothes or 'on clearance' walmart-target clothes, resist the griping and moaning they will do. If child has a job have a substantial amount of it put away, no need for cruising Chestnut, they can walk it. Forget the movies.

4. For those who don't want to attend a meeting or some family function this is the perfect time to state your cutting down on expenses due to the political-econo factors; if you know they voted for a Moron party (DEM or GOP) let them know they caused this state your in, don't let them at all put the blame-guilt on you that your "poor" or "overreacting"; also say you won't accept charity if offered. Talk of American independence and self reliance, they will want to end the conversation quickly.

5. Help your neighbor and the eldery, especially those whom are neighbors, friends and relatives. Those who help others get helped also, be that for the short term or long term. In the last few decades America has gotten into this self-centrist "me" and "my" needs and time mentality that does nothing but divide us; once divided we are easily more conquered and led astray by the external forces: media, DFL, learning institutions, GOP, corporate america, etc.. In the old days families would live together, it's going to have to start again in order to survive, yes the in-laws might really see how much tv you do watch and your other filthy and lazy habits; you must make the change: survival is change--adapt.

6. Time to hunt and fish again constantly for the protein. A good carb is rice and potato, vegetables can be canned or frozen. Most city dwellers have space for a garden, even a little will help; books-online info from library on root cellars, hunting, butchering, storage of food, fishing, trapping, etc. When your fellow Tree hugger--anti hunting worker or neighbor questions why you hunt and fish know, use point #4. I suggest each house have at least 500 rds. for a long rifle--.22 cal and up. Test you palate on legal rodents you can eat: coon, beaver, skunk. etc., don't knock it until you try it and remember; your the one who voted in this economic mess--not me.

People this is a chance to lose much weight, to get in shape and learn what an honest living is all about; not just do nothing thinking the govt. has an interest in you in which this crisis wouldn't have happened anwyay. And please don't just hole up somewhere thinking the end of the world is near and the "rapture" is just going to whisk you away. Get involved, this is your Nation, you are "WE THE PEOPLE" and Liberty, Freedom and the Pursuit of Happiness is for you, not the 2% who control 90% of the wealth.
